sagadaMountain Province is located in the middle of Luzon surrounded by Ifugao, Benguet, Ilocos Sur, Abra, Kalinga, and Isabela. Its capital is Bontoc with a population of about 25.000. Mountain Province is the real name of the province but the incorrect names like Mountain and Mt Mountain are also used. The province is named that way because it is found in the Cordillera Central mountain range of north central Luzon. Because of the high location its definitely cold. Sagada is a very popular destination of foreign adventurers. Sagasa features caves can be easy explored. Its interesting to walk along waterfall or an underground river. There are no tricycles here, what it makes more quiet and gives more relaxing feelings. Sagada is famous for its "hanging coffins". This is a traditional way of burying people that is not in use anymore. This trekking area is 275 km far from Manila located.
